Chief Data Officer (CDO)

We are looking for a Chief Data Officer (CDO), who will have a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization’s data strategy.

Role Overview

Tasked with overseeing the management, governance, and utilization of data assets, the Chief Data Officer (CDO) will ensure that data initiatives align with the company’s business objectives. The ideal candidate will work with various departments to leverage data for actionable insights, better decision-making, improved customer experience, and business growth, while ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.

  • Align data with the company’s strategic goals to enhance operational efficiency, reduce risks, and create new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with company departments to identify and exploit data-driven opportunities that can improve decision-making, customer experience, and growth.

  • Lead and manage the data analytics efforts to harness advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning, for extracting valuable, actionable insights from data.

  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with data privacy laws and industry standards.

  • Support and promote the adoption of new data-related technologies and practices within the organization.

Candidate Job Profile

  • BSc or MSc degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Statistics.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data management and analysis or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the insurance sector.

  • Excellent leadership skills.

  • Proficiency in data analytics, AI, and machine learning.

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.

  • Excellent communication skills, both in Greek and English, ability to articulate complex data to all stakeholders.

  • Ability to align data strategies with business goals.

  • No pending military obligations (for Greek male citizens).
