Expense Controller
We are looking for an Expense Controller who will be contributing to the Company’s financial management by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all expense-related processes.
Role Overview
The position holder will be responsible for controlling, analyzing, and optimizing company expenses, aiming to maximize profitability and compliance with company regulations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the company's financial management, participate in the monthly/ yearly closing process as well as in the 3-year business plan process and contribute to the monitoring and rationalization of expenses.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct a detailed review of all company expenses per function, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company policies and budgets.
Design, implement, and optimize processes for efficient expense management, including submission, approval, and payment procedures.
Analyze expense data to identify trends, deviations, and optimization opportunities.
Prepare regular reports for management on the status of expenses and deviations from the budget, providing any suggestions for improvement.
Work closely with all departments of the company to ensure the smooth operation of expense management processes.
Use and manage ERP software and systems to automate processes and track expenses.
Train staff on expense management procedures and company policies.
Candidate Job Profile
BSc in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in an expense management role or a related position.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and cost management.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
Attention to detail and great organization skills.
Strong communication skills both in Greek and English.
No pending military obligations (for Greek male citizens).
