Product Development Professional – Property & Casualty Insurance

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Professional in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance to join our Product Development and Analytics division.

Role Overview

This role involves supporting the design, enhancement, and rollout of insurance products tailored to meet market demands and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is expected to contribute to strategic initiatives and ensure that products align with business goals, underwriting profitability targets, and customer needs. A thorough understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance business lines is essential, along with comprehensive expertise in product lifecycle management, competition analysis, and the applicable regulatory framework. Additionally, a solid grasp of the quantitative aspects underpinning insurance products is necessary to facilitate effective collaboration with pricing actuaries.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and developing new P&C insurance products and enhancing existing offerings.

  • Contribute to product governance by ensuring all product-related processes are compliant, efficient, and strategically aligned.

  • Support and review processes related to new product development, ensuring alignment with internal standards and external regulations.

  • Monitor product performance and customer feedback, making necessary adjustments to optimize product offerings.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to perform market research and competition analysis to find product opportunities and gaps.

  • Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, legal and compliance teams to define product features and pricing strategies.

  • Support project management tasks related to product launches, system updates, and implementation timelines.

  • Provide requirements and work alongside the PMO and IT teams to establish the necessary infrastructure for the new products. Assist with project management tasks concerning product launches, system updates, and implementation schedules.

  • Prepare documentation for regulatory filings and ensure timely approval across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Contribute to the development of product training materials and facilitate internal stakeholder communication.

Candidate Job Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in insurance product development or a related role

  • Strong understanding of P&C insurance products lines (e.g., auto, homeowners, commercial liability), market dynamics, and regulatory environment

  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team setting

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Experience with product management tools and software (e.g., MS Office, product development platforms, etc.)
